Arizona Solo Trip Day 4 (Lost Dutchman State Park, Tortilla Flat, McDowell Sonoran Preserve)
While my last full day didn’t go exactly as I had planned in my head, it still was really enjoyable. From the sunrise hike in a bucket list location to the old western town and then the evening hike among the cacti, and delicious fish tacos, it still was a great day.
Arizona Solo Trip Day 3 (Sedona, Fay Canyon Arch Trail, Jerome, Goldfield, and Scottsdale )
Day 3 of my solo trip in Arizona began early with a 5:00 AM sunrise hike in Sedona. One of the main reasons I picked the Hotel Arabella was because of the access to hiking trails. If you’ve been to Sedona, you know that parking at trail heads can be like the wild west. I was so lucky that not only was it just a mile hike out to a beautiful spot near Snoopy Rock for sunrise, but that I saw not one other person on the trail the entire time. While popular trails are popular for a reason, I really have enjoyed going on some of the less popular trails in areas where you can just enjoy nature on your own. This sunrise hike was one of those moments.
Deciding To Take My First Solo Trip in 2 Years

What to do in Sedona With 1 Day (Stay, Eat, Hike)
When we return to Sedona, which we surely will, we plan to do some other trails in the area since we had such a fun time on this one and really love the town and views.
1 Day in Petrified Forest National Park
So while this post is how to spend a day in the park, you could spend only a few hours here and still get to see most of it.
One Day in Saguaro National Park (West)
The first time I visited Saguaro was back in 2019, on a solo trip to Colorado and Arizona. I had visited the eastern side of the park on that trip, so this time around on Teddy and my 10 Day southwest road trip, we chose to do the western side of the park. If you only have a day in the park, our best suggestions are below.
