Contentment, Wintering & A Puppy

To be quite honest, I really don’t love winter and January is a hard month for me. I love to be outside but do not love being cold. I love the sun and warmth. Finding ways to savor the winter season rather than wish it away is something I’ve tried to be very intentional about this year.

Today we rested. Two naps. Read the newest Magnolia magazine. Had leftover pizza for lunch. Read. Watched some travel videos. Enjoyed the day. This piece has been on my “want” list in my phone for over a year. I finally purchased it for my office as my reminder that “who at the worst, if (s)he fails, at least fails while daring greatly, so that [her] place shall never be with those cold and timid souls who neither know victory nor defeat.” State Park #7 for the year at Codorus State Park! The road trip where we got engaged 🏔️🌲🦬 Are you working from a never ending to do list? When someone asks how you are, is your natural response, “busy”? Do you move so quickly you forget to take in the moment happening around you? Does it feel like life is just passing you by? One of my favorite hikes to date 🌲🥾 Our wild child 🐶❤️ Adventure always 🥾🗺️ Hiking in French Creek State Park! Beautiful even in the winter.
