Best Small Town Coffee Shops in Lancaster, PA

Slate, Lititz

Slate is the place I go to when I am in the Lititz area, and want to spend anywhere from 15 minutes – 3 or so hours working on a project or reading. The food is great as is the coffee and I love the atmosphere.

Dosie Dough, Lititz

Dosie Dough has been a staple since I was little. My mom would take us there once a week after daycare when we were little for a treat. You better believe I got a peanut butter blossom or bear claw every time we went. Now as an adult, it’s the place my best friend and her husband go every Saturday so whenever I’m in town, I get to tag along and hang out with them, their family, and their dog!

Copper Cup Coffee, Manheim

This is a little more out of the way for me but IS right on the way to my favorite place – Middle Creek. So I would stop there before or after work, whenever I was headed to Middle Creek (which is often). The inside of their spot in Manheim is cozy, but more than enough space to get some work done. They also have a place in Lancaster outside of the city that has a lot more space which I’ve hung out at too. Their breakfast sandwiches are AHHHMAZING. As is the coffee.

Whiff Roasters Cafe, Lititz PA

Whiff Roasters has both a retail store on Main Street in Lititz as well as this stand in the Market at The Wilbur. The coffee is wonderful and you can grab a seat inside or outside. This is a great option to pop into before walking around the streets of downtown Lititz.

Mill 72, Manheim

This is one of my favorite places for food, coffee, and to sit down and work for a few hours. They have a very large space, delicious breakfast and lunch options and incredible coffee and snacks. There’s different seating areas so whether you’re solo or with a group, there’s always an open seat.

Lampeter Cafe, Lancaster

One of my friends introduced me to this place. I had passed it a few times before while out driving but hadn’t ever been inside. It has two floors and and has a large menu for breakfast. We ordered, went upstairs with our coffee, and then our food was brought to us. It’s a great spot to catch up with friends over breakfast.

Javateas, Ephrata

Javateas was a staple when I lived in Ephrata. After church most Sundays, my best friend and I would come here and get a breakfast wrap or bagel along with our tea or coffee orders and sit inside or outside and chat. I love their vanilla chai and their buffalo chicken lunch options. Both are so delicious!

New Holland Coffee, New Holland

This place was where I camped out during my time in PA. As you can see below, I had 3 different meals there within a 3 day time period in December. The space is in a strip mall so what you find inside is quite unexpected in the best way. I spent 15-20 hours there over two days planning out some ideas for the following year. The food is incredible, and ever since my trip there in December, I’ve had cold brew coffee with mint in it daily. Ordering it there got me hooked.

Cafe One Eight, Lancaster

I’ve only been here a few times but each time the coffee was great and the food was delicious. I don’t often venture into downtown Lancaster, but when I do, I make it worth it with a stop to grab food and coffee. This is a great place for a Saturday morning coffee date with your spouse or friends!

Speckled Hen, Strasburg

This place is a dream. It’s right outside of downtown Strausburg and has the best food and coffee. I’ve had their veggie burger, their breakfast options, and various coffees and teas. It’s all delicious. A few blogs you’ve read have been written right at this shop.

Grand Central Bagel Cafe, Centerville

This place has the best hot chai lattes. Seriously. It was incredible that I go there not even for their incredible bagels, but for their chai lattes. Since they are a bagel cafe, that means something since their bagels themselves are incredible. The breakfast sandwich you see below? So worth it.
