Celebrate the Holidays at Koziar’s Christmas Village

I love so many things about the Christmas season but one of my favorites is seeing Christmas lights on display. I will drive pretty far for a great light show. It can be a single home that synchronizes their lights to music, a lane of lights you can drive the car through, or an outdoor display you can walk through – I love them all. Something about Christmas lights is just so magical. One of my favorite places to experience the lights is at Koziar’s Christmas Village in Bernville, PA.

The first time I went to Koziar’s Christmas Village was about 10 or so years ago. Their light display has been around for over 73 years and features over a million lights all over the family farm. It’s located in a valley so when you drive up to it over the ridge, you can see the entire farm lit up. It makes for an awesome photo.

There’s a lot to do when you’re here, especially for kids! When you get there, there’s a huge parking lot where you can park for free. You’ll walk down toward the silos where the entrance is and from there, you can walk through the path and check out the various themed displays. There’s an outdoor and indoor train display, a gift and snack shop, and glass building displays. I would plan on allowing about 1-2 hours to get through the area including entrance lines, stopping for snacks, and checking out the displays since there’s just so much to see!

The photos in this post were taken prior to the 2020 holiday season. For 2020, they have various protocols in place to make sure it’s a safe experience for all including wearing masks. There are staggered entrance times set aside for each day. You can choose a prime day which is about $5 more or than on a non prime night. They also still have Santa photos but have made alterations to keep social distancing in place. They still have their food stands set up with pretzels, cookies, nachos, hot chocolate, and hot dogs. There’s a snack stand about halfway through and another toward the end.

Pack up the kids and spend a wonderful evening celebrating the season and the anticipation while wandering through this awesome Christmas display.

Over the next few weeks I’ll be sharing some of my other favorite places to celebrate the holidays in 2020 so stay tuned!
