Holiday Lights Near York & Lancaster

The holiday season in Pennsylvania is just magical to me. While I don’t love it getting dark so early, I do adore visiting the Christmas light shows in both Lancaster and York County. You’ll find my top 9 recommendations below!

Christmas Magic at Rocky Ridge County Park in York, PA

The half mile walking trail through the woods is filled with lights and holiday scenery. There’s also an indoor train scene and you can stop and get cookies, hot chocolate, and french fries at the snack stand. This is the best walking tour with so many different colors and light scenes in my opinion.

Sweet Lights in Hershey, PA

Drive through over 600 light displays on this two mile road through trees and fields while listening to holiday music. Purchase your tickets in advance for a discount off the gated price.

Christmas Spirit Light Show in Lancaster, PA

Drive through the mile long light show in downtown Lancaster at Clipper Magazine Stadium. Turn the radio to the Christmas station and enjoy the ride.

Koziar’s Christmas Village in Bernville, PA

Walk through a farm full of over a million Christmas lights to celebrate Koziar’s 74th season. Check out the train sets, the Christmas village, visit Santa, and grab some hot cocoa.This is a favorite for kiddos due to the trains and Christmas village scenery. For more details, check out this post.

Refreshing Mountain in Stevens, PA

Check out the Christmas light walk through, holiday zipline, challenge obstacles, observation deck, and wildlife center. They also have a 1/2 mile donation based drive thru set of lights.

Stone Gables Drive Through in Elizabethtown, PA

Enjoy a three mile drive through various lighted scenery including storyboards telling the story of Christmas, a steam train, candy cane forest, nativity scene, Moravian star forest, decorated barns, and so much more. This is my absolute favorite of the options and this is only their 4th year holding the event! Tickets are about $25-$30 depending on night but there are also other holiday events held here as well. Messick’s Christmas Light Show in Elizabethtown, PA

Tune into the local radio from the comfort of your car while watching this 15 minute musically synchronized show. The lights are hung on tractors and lawn mowers and dance to your favorite Christmas tunes. Donations from the show are given entirely to local organizations. If you or your kiddos love music to dance to along with watching lights, this is sure to be a treat.

Longwood Gardens in Kennet Square, PA

Walk the lighted outdoor trails as well as through the indoor conservatory to experience these magical gardens. Book your tickets and dress warmly for this holiday experience. This is a favorite for those who like some lights, but love plants or just an artistic Christmas experience.

Herr’s Factory Nottingham, PA

Drive through this free holiday light display on the Herr’s Factory grounds featuring over 600,000 lights. Open from 7 pm to 5 am daily.
